You don’t need us to tell you that Jennifer Aniston loves an
LBD, but the glossy-haired starlet has updated her signature fashion formula
for winter, and we like it.
Jen hit the New York screening of her new film Cake in a
very on-trend monochrome tartan sixties shift dress, adding to the retro vibe
with a pair of suede knee boots. A perennial winter wardrobe favourite, tartan
reigns supreme again this season thanks to designers like Jean Paul Gaultier
and Simone Rocha, and a monochrome colour palette updates the print while
ticking off two trend boxes in one go. Erm, that’s what we’d call a no-brainer
buy.
Luckily, you don’t need a Hollywood bank balance if you
fancy channelling Ms Aniston’s latest look. We’ve found one seriously good £25
doppelganger at Dorothy Perkins – nailing not just the print but the pocket
front and shift shape too – and even better, the price tag has been slashed to
just £22.50 until midnight tomorrow in a 30% off flash sale.
For a real 60s spin, add a box bag and flat mary-janes –
glitter styles will amp things up for after-dark – or turn it work-friendly
with a white shirt and Jen-style knee-highs.
